# Deployments

> Manage documentation deployments in the Mintlify dashboard, including viewing deployment history, monitoring build status, troubleshooting, and deleting a project.

Your documentation site automatically deploys when you push changes to your connected repository. If your repository is on GitHub, you must install and connect the Mintlify GitHub App. If your repository is on GitLab or Bitbucket, see [GitLab](/guides/deploy-gitlab) or [Bitbucket](/guides/deploy-bitbucket) for connection setup.

If your latest changes are not appearing on your live site and your repository is on GitHub, first check that the GitHub account or organization that owns your docs repository has the GitHub App installed. For more information, see [GitHub troubleshooting](/guides/deploy-github#troubleshooting).

If your repository is connected, but changes are still not deploying, manually trigger a deployment from your dashboard.

## Manually trigger a deployment

:::::steps
:::step{title="Verify your latest commit was successful."}
Check that your latest commit appears in your docs repository and did not encounter any errors. You can confirm whether the commit built successfully in your [deployment history](#view-deployment-history).
:::

::::step{title="Manually trigger a deployment."}
Go to your [dashboard](https://app.mintlify.com) and click the deploy button.

## View deployment history

Navigate to the [activity](https://app.mintlify.com/activity) page in your dashboard to review your deployment history and check whether each build succeeded. On the **Live** tab, click a build to expand it and view details, including the commit message and author.

## Roll back a deployment

If a change reaches your live site that you must remove immediately, serve a previous successful build instead of reverting commits and waiting for a new build. See [Rollbacks](/guides/deploy-rollbacks).

## Delete a project

You can permanently delete a project from the **Danger zone** section of the [Organization](https://app.mintlify.com/settings/organization/general) settings page in your dashboard. This action is irreversible and removes all project data, including any associated preview deployments.

::::steps
:::step{title="Navigate to the Danger zone."}
Go to the **Danger zone** section of the [Organization](https://app.mintlify.com/settings/organization/general) settings page in your dashboard.
:::

:::step{title="Delete the project."}
1. In the **Delete project** row, click **Delete…**.
2. Enter a reason for deletion.
3. Click **Delete project** to confirm.
:::
::::

:::callout{intent="warning"}
Deleting a project is permanent and cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, you'll receive a prorated credit for any unused time remaining in your billing period.
:::

If you have multiple projects, Mintlify redirects you to another project after deletion. If you delete your only project, Mintlify redirects you to the Mintlify homepage. When you delete a project, the organization admin receives an email notification confirming the deletion.
